Nikoleta Karvariotou was born on 16th September 1995 in Thessaloniki where she also lives in. She graduated from the 2nd high school of Thessaloniki and she is a member of the 2nd high school’s club named “Iktinos”. She studied in the department of Mural Art and Hagiography in Public Institute for Vocational Training in Thessaloniki from February 2015 to February 2017 and she has practiced in hagiography and painting at Anastasio’s Voutsinas’ workshop in Thessaloniki. She likes a lot to read books, especially books about the Greek revolution of 1821. She had imprinted on a calendar of 2021, in occasion of 200th anniversary of the Greek revolution which named “1821-2021 200 years of love for Greece”, 12 painting works inspired by her favourite heroes, one of each month, with purpose all these Immortal Heroes to stay in our memory and to transparent all her love to the receivers. She participated with her narrative “An unforgettable meeting” in the literary competition “1 phrase +821 words for 1821”, in occasion of the Theodore Kolokotronis’ phrase: “If we weren’t mad we wouldn’t have a revolution” and the start of the celebrations for 1821, which has been organized by the National Historical Museum of Athens and the Historical and Ethnological Society of Greece and she received an honorary diploma. She likes a lot the comics, she has visited all the Comic Con’s events in the Thessaloniki and that’s why she has created a comic for the heroine of Greek Revolution of 1821, Μanto Mavrogenous, with which she will participate in this year’s Comic Con vol.8 event, as a sign of admiration for this woman and in order to justify and make better known to the world her struggles and sacrifices for Greece, hoping that knowing this comic you will also love Manto Mavrogenous, you will admire her selfless contribution to the Struggle for us to live free today, you will tell others about her and thus you will contribute to keeping her alive in our hearts.
