THOMAS MAVRODONTIS

Thomas Mavrodontis a.k.a thomas_themoviebuff grew up in the city of Thessaloniki and since a very young age, had a liking for drawing. Although he only seriously started to dedicate himself to the art of illustration and comic, since 2019, when he began his studies in Comink school of art, near his teachers, Vaggelis Matziris and the writer Abrahan Kawa. His interaction with his teachers, as well as with the friends and coleagues he made through comicbooks, made clear the unniqueness of comics and the power of a good story, even more so, of the things that go behind, from the initial chaotic thought, to the drawing of the first line and eventually the publication. He personally has a special spot in his heart for horror in every media and that is the reason he wanted his first story, “ΦΙΛΟΚΤΗΤΗΣ”, to reflect his passion and respect for this specific genre. Although he wishes that this is the beginning of a creative journey and yearns to illustrate and write many more stories, making new friends along the way.
